Founder of the Apothecary Genetics brand, Bret Bogue, explains the remarkable origins of the companies beginnings.
“I became very ill and was looking for an alternative medication for my illness. It was during that time that I found hemp and cannabis as a perfect alternative solution. I realized then that I needed to create Apothecary Genetics. Through my world travels, I have been able to find “landrace strains” of hemp and cannabis, breed them and create hybrids that are suitable for industrial hemp and pharmaceutical grade Medical Cannabis.”
Having recovered from his long-term illness, Bogue would go on to launch the Apothecary® Genetics seeds company in 2004 in Northern California, emerging as a hugely successful developer of medicinal cannabis strains that are commonly used as medical marijuana.
Using detailed research techniques to source only the best marijuana genetics, the Apothecary seeds co have played their part in shaping the modern-day cannabis industry with several legendary marijuana seeds emerging from the team including Grape Ape, Old School Jams, KAIA KUSH™, and Sour Grapes.
Continuing to focus on medicinal strains and collecting only the finest genetics from across the plant, the Apothecary Genetics strain hunters have picked up several cannabis cup awards including 1st place at the Denver Medical Cannabis Cup for their hugely popular cultivar, Sour Grape.
