Where to buy marijuana seeds in Oklahoma

Known for having one of the fastest-growing economies in the U.S, Oklahoma has been a little slower on the uptake when it comes to the state´s local cannabis laws.

However, despite almost a century of cannabis prohibition, in 2018, residents voted to approve the introduction of legalised medical marijuana in the state having first introduced the legal use of low THC/high CBD oils and products three years earlier in 2015.

But what are the laws surrounding recreational cannabis and cannabis cultivation in Oklahoma?

Oklahoma Marijuana Law

Having introduced the sale of medical marijuana in 2018, patients with a state-issued medical marijuana license are now able to possess, purchase, cultivate and consume cannabis products in the state of Oklahoma.

Medical marijuana patients who are legally registered with the state and in possession of a state-issued license are allowed to have:

  • Up to 3 Oz of marijuana on their person and up to 8oz at their home or residence
  • 6 mature marijuana plants and 6 seedlings
  • 1 Oz of marijuana concentrates
  • 1 Oz ounces of edible cannabis products
  • Do I qualify for Medical cannabis?

Compared to the rest of the U.S, Oklahoma´s medical cannabis laws are unique because they do not actually specify a list of qualifying conditions. As such, the state has ruled that all medical cannabis recommendations must be given out “according to the accepted standards a reasonable and prudent physician would follow when recommending or approving any medication.”

In addition, all of the medical marijuana license applications must be signed off by an Oklahoma physician.
