Melonsicle Strain Genetics
Representing the second release of TH Seeds seedbank’s ‘Bastards Line’ – a new breeding program that unites the best of Californian and European breeding techniques – Melonsicle feminised seeds were made with a single goal in mind: to create a quality cannabis strain imbued with the refreshing taste of watermelon. As such, Menlonscile lineage combines several formidable fruity strains – Forbidden Fruit x watermelon Zkittlez x Watermelon, and the result is a resounding success that’ll certainly wow with its uncanny watermelon flavour.
This limited edition, slightly sativa-dominant plant even looks a little like its namesake and blooms in jazzy watermelon shades that must be seen to be believed. It’s also a generous yielder, producing heavy harvests of quality fruit-flavoured bud in almost any environment and offering an invigorating psychoactive hit to get those creative juices flowing. Now available from MGS as feminized seeds, make your friends green with envy and yourself tickled pink with this mouthwatering, multicoloured phenotype.
Melonsicle Strain Terpene Profile
Melonsicle aroma is by far its greatest strength. Prepare for a wall of juicy watermelon scents combined with cream, ripe fruit, and sangria in a flavour profile that blows its parents’ right out of the water. The melon madness continues right through to the strain’s exotic taste, which evokes flavours of melon candy popsicle and sweet cucumber, with a kush-typical aftertaste acting as a reminder of its true nature.
TH Seeds have carefully distilled these mouthwatering melon flavours from several similar flavoured strains with very specific limonene-dominant terpene profiles. Melonsicle abundant terpenes also include myrcene and alpha-pinene, which help to define its refreshing, herbaceous flavour profile further.
Melonsicle Strain Effects
Melonsicle effects are just as refreshing as its flavour. As a slightly sativa-dominant strain, users can expect a more mentally orientated experience than an indica hybrid, but its varied heritage – which includes high-powered landrace strains like Durban Poison – means there’s also plenty of relaxation to go around. At first, you’ll feel energized, euphoric and ready to take on the world as a wave of creative inspiration washes over you, but later, when its physical effects take hold, you’ll be hard pushed to do anything except sit and chill.
Melonsicle THC level has yet to be tested, but as its creator’s name suggests, TH Seeds releases are all considered THC dominant. Both Watermelon and Watermelon Zkittlez boast a very high THC/low CBD ratio, with THC levels reaching as high as 25% in some cases. As such, although this Forbidden Fruit x Watermelon Zkittlez x Watermelon mashup can be savoured as part of a relaxing summer afternoon, those of a lower tolerance should save it as an evening pick-me-up.
How to Grow Melonsicle Strain
Growing Melonsicle cannabis seeds requires a bit of extra space as this medium/tall plant likes to spread once it begins to flower. Although suitable for most environments, its intense smell, which starts in the vegetative stage, might pose a problem for outdoor growers seeking discretion and, if grown inside a greenhouse, will require excellent ventilation. These extra measures are well worth the effort, as Melonsicle yields are big and bountiful, averaging at around 550-650g per m2.
This multicoloured marvel is also one of the most vibrant in the TH Seeds collection. Though not as fast to bloom as an autoflowering strain, Melonsicle flowering time is a rapid eight-nine weeks from germination, and its colour palette ranges from green to purple, pink to red, with fiery orange hairs and ice white trichomes adding to the effect. Its dense and resinous buds are unrivalled when it comes to bag appeal, so why not bring a little summer colour to your garden with these funky feminized seeds?
