Strawberry Kush Genetic Profile

Strawberry Kush from Sensi Seeds is an Indica-leaning hybrid strain in a 70/30 mix, borne from a celebrated lineage. Strawberry Kush seeds have been created by combining one of the more well-known Indica strains, OG Kush, along with the fragrant Strawberry Cough, a Sativa-dominant hybrid with a sweet and fruity aroma.

The combination of these two high-quality marijuana strains has conceived a hybrid plant with an aromatic, berry-infused herbal taste and a strong potency that also offers a high yield of quality nugs with an average flowering time of around nine weeks.

This beautiful strain features emerald green trichomes with vibrant pink pistils that grow into a deep red as the plant matures. It’s a relatively easy grow with a dense yield and offers a pleasant Strawberry scent along with a host of earthy and citrus overtones.

Strawberry Kush Terpene Profile

Strawberry Kush plants exude fragrant and earthy aromas and a sweet Strawberry taste with slightly peppery undertones, thanks to a familiar terpene profile that includes Myrcene, Caryophyllene, and Limonene. The earthy Myrcene dominates this Marijuana strain and is commonly found elsewhere in hops and bay leaves, adding to their flavour.

Caryophyllene adds additional earthy and peppery elements to the flavour mix, also found in familiar spices and herbs like cinnamon and basil. Like other terpenes, it can also offer a variety of other positive effects alongside its aromatic qualities. Limonene can be found in orange peel, among other foods, and adds an underlying layer of citrus to the blend of flavours and scents.

Strawberry Kush Strain Effects

A potent, Indica-dominant hybrid, customer reviews of this strain have chronicled calming and soporific effects with less of an inclination towards cerebral activities. It’s a heavy and tranquil body buzz followed by a residual Sativa head-high, making this strain an ideal choice to unwind with after a long day, with a noticeable decrease in stress levels and an overall uplifting experience.

It reportedly offers a less cerebral and euphoric high than its Sativa-heavy parent, Strawberry Cough, and instead, takes more of its prominent qualities from the rockstar OG Kush. As this is quite a potent plant with a reasonably high THC content (around 19%), it’s probably more suited to those who have a medium-to-strong tolerance and probably recommended for those times that aren’t involving any high-functioning tasks. As such, it also has the propensity to result in dry eyes and a dry mouth for some users.

How to Grow Strawberry Kush Strain

Growing into a robust and hardy plant, Strawberry Kush Feminized seeds have a flowering period of between 9 to 10 weeks when grown indoors. Ideal for first-time growers utilising the more straightforward beginner methods, Strawberry Kush cannabis seeds can also be cultivated using ScrOG (screen of green) and SOG (sea of green) methods, along with more advanced super-cropping techniques.

For outdoor growers, this hybrid strain is best suited to sunny surroundings with a warm, Mediterranean-like climate along with low humidity. Harvesting is recommended in early April in the Northern Hemisphere and in early October for the Southern Hemisphere.

Strawberry Kush marijuana seeds that are grown outdoors will also tend to grow relatively higher than their indoor counterparts, but either method offers the same propensity for high yields. All in all, it’s a suitable plant for both experienced growers and novice horticulturalists alike.
