AK 47 Strain Genetics
AK-47 hit the scene in the early 90’s, originating from the capable hands of Dutch breeder Serious Seeds. The reason behind the name remains somewhat of a mystery, however.
What we do know, is that this sativa-dominant hybrid is a cross of three different sativas, namely; Mexican, Colombian and Thai, plus an Afghani indica.
AK 47 Strain Effects
Even though the name suggests a blast of potency, AK-47’s high isn’t explosive. In smaller doses, experienced cannaisseurs find it pleasantly mellow. An uplifting, long-lasting cerebral high that will activate the mind with creative flow. As the effects progress, indica sensations wash over and full body-relaxation sets in.
AK 47 Strain Terpene Profile
AK-47’s aroma and taste, on the other hand, are as strong as the name suggests. The spicy, almost Skunk-like fragrance is quite intense. Underneath that Skunky aroma lies a sweet and tangy flavor of citrus, pinewood and exotic spices.
How to Grow AK 47 Seeds
This strain is popular with beginners because of its ease and speed. Other than adequate air-circulation, there isn’t much that needs keeping an eye on.
AK-47 can withstand relatively cool temperatures and has been known to be cultivated outside in Northern European countries.
